THE GRAND DUCHY OF RIDDESLAND

Riddesland is a small European country that lies roughly amidst Luxembourg, Belgium, and France. It is also entirely made up, possibly existing on the same parallel Earth as Genovia and Florin. Riddesland's main languages are Dutch, French, English, and German. Being a grand duchy, the country has a Grand Duke as head of state instead of a king (though they have the same amount of power). The Grand Duke's heirs are styled as princes and princesses.

THE CITY OF ESBURG

Esburg is the seat of the grand duchy and the capitol city of Riddesland. It wraps around the Oopalmeer, a large alpine lake, and boasts beautiful canals and views of the surrounding mountains. The annual spring flower festival rivals those in the Netherlands. The city also holds nearly as many balls as Vienna, and the complicated Tulpenwals is on the Intangible Cultural Heritage List by UNESCO.
